Bird Watching

Bird Watching Bird watching, also known as birding, is a popular recreational activity enjoyed by enthusiasts worldwide. This pastime involves the observation and identification of various bird species in their natural habitats. With its potential for scientific research and environmental conservation, bird watching has become an important aspect of wildlife tourism and contributes to our understanding of avian behavior and conservation efforts. Home to over 1,100 species of birds, Uganda is a bird watchers’ paradise. This includes Crested Crane, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, African Fish Eagle, and the very shy majestic Shoe-bill Stork.

The location of Nile Safari Lodge makes it an ideal place for ornithologists and keen bird watchers.
