Each year, the African travel community gathers in Cape Town for We Are Africa 2026, a moment to reconnect with partners, celebrate the continent’s extraordinary travel experiences, and look ahead to the future of African tourism.
We are delighted to share that Nile Safari Lodge will once again be participating in this year’s event, taking place from 4th to 8th May 2026. The expanded We Are Africa Local will be hosted at DHL Stadium from 4 May to lunch on 5 May, bringing together travel designers, lodge owners, and industry leaders from across Africa and beyond.
For us, We Are Africa is always a meaningful gathering. It offers a valuable opportunity to reconnect with long-standing partners while also meeting new travel designers who share a passion for Africa’s remarkable landscapes, wildlife, and cultures.
Many of the journeys that begin with conversations in Cape Town eventually lead travellers to the banks of the Nile months later.
Situated within Murchison Falls National Park, Nile Safari Lodge continues to welcome guests seeking an intimate safari experience shaped by nature, space, and thoughtful hospitality. From sunrise game drives and boat safaris on the Nile to quiet moments overlooking the river, each stay offers a chance to experience this remarkable landscape in a deeply personal way.
Events such as We Are Africa play an important role in connecting the global travel community and in sharing the diverse stories that make Africa such a compelling destination.
If you will be attending We Are Africa 2026, we look forward to reconnecting in Cape Town and sharing more of the story of the Nile.
It’s such a pleasure to be returning to We Are Africa 2026, representing Nile Safari Lodge for the second time.
Each year, Cape Town becomes a meeting point for the African travel community, bringing together partners, travel designers, lodge owners, and industry leaders to celebrate the richness of travel across the continent and to shape what comes next for African tourism.
