Tripadvisor Reviews

  • star ratingThe Most Romantic and Breathtaking Lodge in Uganda  - Absolutely one of the most incredible and romantic places I have ever stayed (and probably will ever stay). The lodge itself was beautiful and everything that you would want for breathtaking views. Our room had our own little pool and daybed that overlooked the Nile River. It was just unreal to sit out on the bed, watching monkeys play and hippos swimming. The food was excellent, the staff was even better! I highly recommend booking 2 private boat rides down the Nile, one in both directions. We did a morning boat ride (private pick up right there at the back of the lodge) to go down river to look for shoebills! We saw 4 shoebills which was just incredible. We also did an evening boat ride up to Murchison Falls, getting to see elephants, tons of birds and hippos along the way. Every time we returned from the boat or game drive, the staff always had cold towels and juice ready for us. We once even returned to our room to find a gorgeous bubble bath already drawn with rose peddles. They even made a cake for my birthday which was so sweet and unexpected. Murchison Falls was definitely one of the highlights of our Uganda trip and the Nile Safari Lodge will always stick out in my mind as being the most romantic. Overall it was a 5 star+++++ experience.

  • star ratingGreat place to see the shoebill! Very luxurious setting  - What can you say about a luxury resort on the Victoria Nile? We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute! Impeccable service and WONDERFUL food, personalized wake up "calls" (with coffee delivered), stunning views from the room. Of course the area is full of beautiful scenery. I recommend a boar tour to the base of the falls and one to the Lake Albert Delta. We saw two shoebill storks, including one in flight--a nice surprise! Top it off with a few game drives and you will have the experience of a lifetime! Precious took very good care of us. Thank you for being a memorable part of our East African experience.

There is oil drilling in the area. One of the rigs, very brightly lit, was right across the river. According to the official report, there will not be more rigs in the area. Let's hope this is the case!

  • star ratingAn unforgettable stay on the Nile!  - I had the chance to stay at this luxury hotel in Uganda, and everything was absolutely perfect. The view of the Nile is breathtaking, a real haven of peace. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and soothing, ideal to recharge.

The staff is professional, attentive and always ready to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped.

The decoration and architecture of the hotel are simply sublime, with a perfect mix of elegance and respect for the environment. This refined style, rarely found elsewhere in Uganda, adds a unique touch. It is an experience I will not forget, and I will return without hesitation to this paradise.

  • star ratingHidden Gem in Uganda!  - “I had the most incredible stay at this breathtaking resort – truly an escape from the ordinary! The staff’s service was exceptional, always ready to assist with anything I needed. I stayed in the Asili villa, and waking up to the serene views of the Nile River right from my balcony was a dream. The food was chef’s kiss - beautifully plated and delicious every time. With so many exciting excursions to choose from, this experience felt like a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. A must-stay for anyone visiting the Uganda. Can’t wait to return!”

  • star ratingOn the banks of the Nile  - Luxurious small lodge on the banks of the Nile, with spectacular views and priceless tranquility; we spent 2 nights there, upgrade in the splendid "Family Villa" of over 200 square meters with large private pool, furnished in perfect African style and great comfort, with level amenities in the 2 bathrooms.
Very kind and attentive staff; excellent service from both our good butler Irene and all the staff, who pampered us in every way.
On the first night we were served a private dinner in the Villa for our wedding anniversary, an attention that we greatly appreciated.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner a la carte, delicious and varied, prepared using local ingredients.
It is the perfect place to return in the evening after visiting Murchison Falls National Park (which is really worth the trip) and have an aperitif looking at the Great Nile and the surrounding nature.
